Second Semester

Hey all,
Lets think about the books we want to read during the second semester and get a lunch meeting going. Do we want to read a series? Fantasty? Historical fiction? Non-fiction? Listen for the morning announcment and come to the library with your great ideas. I'll provide the popcorn, of course!

Fast Food Nation

the book i am currently reading is Fast Food Nation, the book that changed how we live and how wwe choose our fast food, even though i have just started it, it is a really good book

Book Club update

The books are on the way! I anticipate that we should have them in hand by mid week ( Wednesday 9/26). I finished Private Peaceful last night. Great read. Cannot wait to get feedback from you after you have read it. My next book will be Afterlife. Enjoy the weekend!

Private Peaceful

Hi book buddies,
Wanted to know who is reading Private Peaceful besides me! I am really enjoying it. The author's "voice" ages with the main character so well, he really captures the maturation process that Thomas is experiencing. Interested to know what everyone else thinks. At the same time I am reading a text book for Grad. School and I must say it is not half as much fun!

Summer Reading 2007

So it's 07.07.07 and Harry Potter is coming, soon! and Eva Longoria is getting married today but really who cares when there are so many awesome books out there to devour???? I just finished The Queen of Cool by Cecil Castellucci which was fun and The Astonishing Adventures of Fanboy and Goth Girl and now I'm into John Green's An Abundance of Katherines, which is hilarious, the main characters are in a small town called, what else? Gutshot! I kid you not.

So. I got my HP tix and going out to another movie tonight. Ava is eating yogurt and we are going to nap soon.
